The machine was dismantled to its main units, cleaned and examined for condition and ware.
Once we completed the evaluation the following list of items were completed on the machine but not limited too.

1) Readings of all v ways and flat ways were taken and reground if necessary
2) The spindle saddle was scrapped into tolerance of main bed
3) The main tabletop was scrapped to assure the proper alignment between the work head and tailstock
4) New tailstock to accept hydraulic actuated dead center
5) All hydraulic pumps, solenoids, lines, and motors replaced with new
6) The work head transmission was gutted and all unnecessary gearing, and shafts removed
7) Built and installed a new clamp mechanism for the tilt A axis utilizing belleville washers with Hawe pump
8) Designed and built a rotary encoder mount for rear of the work head.
9) New Ball screws for X and Z axis
10) Designed and built adjustable steady rest
11) New lubrication system
12) New bearings throughout machine
13) New machine guarding and paint

1) Fanuc 180i T (4) axis control system
2) Design, built, and installed the required servomotor mounts, brackets, and couplings for the selected axis:
3) X radial feed, (Z) axial feed, (C) work rotation, and (A) head swivel
4) New Hoffman electrical cabinet and air conditioner
5) Heidenhain direct feedback absolute scales (4) total for the X, Z, C, & A-axes.
6) Scale accuracy C Axis is  /-1 arc sec and A Axis is  /- 5 arc sec.
7) Allen Bradley relays and limit switches
8) Two sets of documentation consisting of the following will be provided on CD, as well as one printed set of generated documentation.

Dresser System:

The dresser is a custom program in the Fanuc 18 iT control and utilizes the X and Z axis of the machine to control
radial and axial feeds to create forms. A new variable speed Saint-Gobain precision spindle was added.
