WHAT WAS DONE TO THIS MACHINE:
This machine was purchased from a very qualified rebuilder in New York. They went thru the machine checking the headstock and the hydraulic gear shifting system, they reworked the carriage rapid traverse motor and electrics, they removed the top of the carriage and checked the lubrication and all internal parts of the carriage, they rescraped the carriage ways to the bedways, they checked and confirmed all operational features and functions. The fixed angle cross slide was removed and a solid round top compound holder piece was made to replace the fixed angle slide unit. The cross slide was removed and a new gibb was made for it. The ways and new gibb were then rescraped for proper fit.
