Apelio III 357V - 33-ton, 2000W, 4' x 6' table
The Apelio III 357V is a hydraulic punch laser combination machine that combines Amada's original bridge frame design with the advantages of a high-speed punch press (33 tons) that can process 50" x 144" sheets with a single repositioning cycle. Its features include the flexibility of a RF excited, 2000W laser. It provides a maximum 180 hits on one-inch centers. The 58-station triple-track turret with (two) 1.25" auto-index stations greatly reduces tool changing, processing time and tooling costs. It has high quality forming operations with programmable dwell at the bottom of the stroke for
complete plastic deformation. Quiet operation with variable ram speed is also a key feature of the Apelio. The Apelio can easily be automated to load and unload parts.
The laser frees up turret stations for hardware insertions, high quality forming, tapping and other tools that eliminate secondary operations. Our software also automatically selects the punch or laser for maximum machine utilization and minimum setup. Large, programmable work chute automates part and scrap removal. A unique air spring cushion design isolates the laser optics from punching vibration. An extended Y-axis ball-screw allows the laser cutting head (capacitive cutting head) and the punch striker to be mounted on
the same centerline. The CNC controller for the Apelio III is the Fanuc 16LB, 32 bit controller.
